This type has a black pigment by nature. it’s not usually associated with being the toxic kind. It’s allergenic. An example being Nigrospora. This type of mold is common both inside as well as on the outside of a home or property. This could be around windows, the bath tub, any place with heavy moisture, basements, attics etc.
Black toxic mold
This is the kind that most certainly requires professional black mold removal services. It is also known as Stachbotrys chartarum. it is highly toxic. Most commonly found in attics and basements due to improper ventilation.
